Life Cycle Events

Weddings, Baby Namings, and Funerals are times in which we gather as a community.
For those in the Washington, DC and Suburban Maryland area,
particularly those who are not affiliated with a synagogue,
I am available to serve you for life cycle events.

Weddings

For those who are in need of the services of a rabbi for weddings, including Jewish, Interfaith, and Celebrant weddings, please contact me at your convenience. During the initial call, we will get to meet each other and determine the kind of ceremony that you want, and if I am the right officiant for you. After that, we will schedule time together to prepare and customize a ceremony that is a reflection of you.

Some rabbis will not perform weddings on or during the following:
1. The Omer period from Passover to Shavuoth, with the exception of the 33rd day (Lag B’Omer);
2.  
The 3-week period between 17 Tammuz and 9 Av;
3.  
The day immediately preceding Rosh Hashonah, Yom Kippur, Sukkoth, Passover, and Shavuoth

Remember: Jewish holidays start the night before their calendar dates 

Baby Namings

Although I do not perform the rite of Brit Milah (ritual circumcision), I am available to conduct a religious service at your home to give your son or daughter a Hebrew name.

Funerals I will work with families to prepare and perform the funeral service, and coordinate whatever preparations are needed.
