The Jewish Holidays in January 2025

Fast of Teveth commemorates the siege of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar in 588 BCE, which culminated in the destruction of the Temple on 9 Av 586 BCE.  It is referenced as a fast day in Zechariah 8:19.  The fast begins at dawn of January 10, rather than the night before.
